Sixth day of the trip. Without realizing, the trip has reached half of it. And perhaps, this day was the most awaited day of the whole trip. And today's destination was: PLITVICE NATIONAL PARK. Perhaps, if you love nature, you might have heard about this park. Located in Croatia, Plitvice National Park is one of UNESCO protected site. And you could discover the reason soon... ;)
On the way to Plitvice pak (jezera)
Before entering the national park area, we stopped by to take pictures of the beautiful waterfall.

We reached Plitvice National Park at noon. So, before starting the exploration, it's time for lunch. Today's lunch was again a traditional Croatian food. Not bad, but we were getting bored of the taste. Also joined us for today's exploration were Hugo and Rosa..
Hugo and Rosa found a comfortable to rest,
they didn't like walking too much ;p
Our lunch place, perhaps the only restaurant in the area..
Okay, the stomach was full already. It's time to hike. Since the national park is protected, it's not possible for vehicle to enter. Thus, we needed to explore by foot. :D
The entrance to our walking trail
A duck and a lot of fish near the pier
Waiting to ride a boat
The view of the lake from the boat
Arriving at another pier to transfer to a bigger boat
The first pier, where the duck was
Hugo and Rosa waived goodbye to the pier..
Hugo loved the breezy wind
Rosa also wanted to pose in the boat before it arrived in the last pier
Last view before alighting and starting the hiking
Amazing view of the lake, taken from the hiking track

We climbed up from down there..
In Plitvice National Park, there were many hiking trails provided. Ranging from 1 hour to 4 hours, we could choose which trail we wanted to. In our case, I guessed we choose the longest route since we spent almost 4 hours walking from the entrance of the park until we came back again. We were very tired because of the long walk, added by the scorching sun, it was very horrible. :S But it's all worthy, the beauty of the nature that we saw while walking seeped all the tiredness.. XD Actually, the hardest part of our trail was the last climbing, because we needed to climb the hill from the path in the last picture. :D The day concluded with dinner in the hotel. We stayed in Jezero Hotel, one of the hotels available in the park area. :) See you tomorrow... :D
ps. Hope the owner of nici-mania blog enjoys our post this time ;)
